It’s 2019 and MHS finally has an Art Club! On Mondays, from 2:30-3:30, come to the Art room and show off your artistic talent. There will be something for everybody to do including silkscreen printing on shirts, projects using different media, individual/group projects, a mural competition and more throughout the year. Art is a great way to relieve high school stress and it can be really uplifting whenever you’re having a bad day or just have nothing to do.

Speaking of the mural competition, there’s a wall in the “Graduate” hallway between the 2 TV screens that currently says “Once a Woolie, Always a Woolie”. Right now it’s written in a lame black font, and we need some ideas to replace it with a fascinating mural. Students could either sketch fonts/drawings or Photoshop ideas for the new mural. It must include the words “Once a Woolie, Always a Woolie”. Your artwork could possibly be chosen and put up on that wall for the whole school to see. .

For all the students who wanted Art on their schedule but could not get it, this is a perfect opportunity to express your creative side. Everyone is welcome to join, and everyone has a story they could show through artwork. Stop by the Art room Mondays after school or talk to Mrs. Sala if you would like to join. You wouldn’t want to miss out.
