I am writing about the dress code of the school because I believe it is a very important topic for women in high school. I believe that the dress code of Millbury is very strict and it is unfair to some girls and not others. In Millbury, girls are not allowed to wear tank tops and shorts shorter than your knees. In the summer, it gets very hot and the style is not wearing shorts below your knees, well for most girls. I feel that we should be able to wear what we desire as long as it is not inappropriate. In other towns, I see lots of kids wearing clothes that we are not allowed to wear and their school is okay with it . I believe that we should all have that dress code because we are in a public school and we aren’t required to wear uniforms so I believe we should be able to wear what we want as long as it is not revealing. What i mean when I say it is unfair to some girls rather than others, is that some girls who wear short shorts or tank tops walk around and get away with it while all the older girls are getting dress coded for wearing an off the shoulder shirt. I am personally not complaining about the dress code but I am putting in my opinion on how the dress code should be so it is fair to everyone.
