The marching band just finished their 2019 Fall season with a busy weekend.  On Saturday the band hosted a free home show at MHS.  Members of the community had the opportunity to come out and see their full competition show, Music from The Lion King, plus hear some additional songs often performed at the football games.  After the show the band allowed kids to try out instruments, meet the band members, take photos and hangout on the field.  A few lucky kids won a chance to dance along with the band at an upcoming football game.

On Sunday the band competed in the pouring rain at the MICCA Finals at Lawrence, MA.  The marching band earned 3 stars/bronze metal in all categories.  This is the same score the band earned last year however the Marching Band is now competing in a higher division.  MHS Marching Band now competes against schools such as Acton/Boxboro, Shephard Hill, and Leominster.  The marching band will be graduating 12 seniors but look forward to many of the current 7th graders to be a part of the band next fall.

Thank you to Joe Cook, Julianna Rogers, and Gianna Borowski for you help with this article.
