What’s New in the MHS Library?

When final exams are over and you need something to relax you should check out a book from our library.  Mrs. Flaherty is always getting new books from a variety of genres.

Four books that you may want to check our are The Wicked Will Rise, What Girls are Made Of, For a Muse of Fire, and The Upside of Unrequited.

The Wicked Will Rise by Danielle Paige

This NY Times best seller is the latest book in the Dorothy Must Die series. The Wicked Will Rise is the second novel in Danielle Paige’s re-imagining of L Frank Baum’s Oz in which Dorothy has turned evil.

What Girls are Made Of by Elana Arnold

This book won the 2017 National Book Award for Young Peoples Literature Finalist.

Christa Desir author of Other Broken Things says, “Beautifully written and evocative, What Girls Are Made Of fearlessly examines the courage and struggle of being a teenage girl in the modern world. This is the first book in a trilogy from Heidi Heilig.  The book is a tale of escape and rebellion. Heilig has also authored The Girl from Everywhere and The Ship Beyond Time.

The Upside of Unrequited By Becky Albertalli 

This book is from the award-winning author of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda comes a funny, authentic novel about sisterhood, love, and identity.

More Books on Kindle

In addition to these and the many other new books in our library the Kindles now have over 40 titles on each.  Students can sign out a Kindle, just like signing out a book, but have 40+ books all in one easy to hold tablet.  With so many titles there’s something for everyone’s interest.
