The Outdoors Club is up and running and is off to a great start.  They’ve had several outings so far this year and have a lot more planned for the coming months.  Over the past few months they have learned how to make fire, identify maple trees, and took a hike to Purgatory.  They club has marked out the maple trees on the Woolie Trail to tap in the spring to collect the sap to make maple syrup.  The club has some exciting activites planned for the coming months including learning how to build shelter, a fishing trip, and a cookout skills competition. Mr. Przygoda and Mr. Settle are the advisers of this new and exciting club.Mr. Przygoda honed his outdoor skills as a member of the California Conservation Corps. Mr. Settle gained his unique outdoor skills as a Boy Scout for 12 years, a Boy Scout leader for 5 years and a United States Marine for 8 years.  Click to learn more about the advisers
