As this weeks Poetry March Madness comes to a close, so does the first round match-ups for all poems. Today’s competing poems in the Senior High include Edgar Allan Poe’s “A Dream Within a Dream” and Allen Ginsberg’s “A Supermarket in California”. The Junior High, meanwhile, is deciding between Carl Sandburg’s “Languages” and Ernest Hemingway’s “Ultimately”.

No matter the winners, it has been an interesting week with some close competitions and heartbreaking losses.

Next week begins Round 2, where the first round winners will square off again to see who emerges victorious.
