The 17-1 Girls Basketball team tipped off against the 16-0 Suzies tonight.  The Woolies knew this would be a tough match-up and the winner would control their own fate for the #1 seed in districts.  The score at the half was 11-10 with the Suzies holding on to a 1 point lead.  Scoring increased in the second half. With less than a minute to go the game and tied at 29 Jenna Nasuti stole the ball and hit Caitlyn Wilbur for a layup. The girls held on to the 2 point lead to win 31-29.  Wilbur’s layup ended up being the game winning shot.  Sam Brady lead all scorers in the game with 10 points.  The win improves the girls record to 18-1. Sutton drops to 16-1 opening the door for Millbury to capture the #1 seed for districts.  Millbury’s final regular season game is on Monday 19th at Leicester.
