The Woolies Varsity Baseball Team is coming off of a great season last year. They made it all the way to district semifinals but unfortunately lost to the Hudson Hawks. With the loss of 10 seniors, this year’s junior class was looking to fill the spots of last years senior class. Coming in to this season the real question is, how is the young talent going to do playing at the varsity level?  With just 3 seniors on the team, young players are really asked to step up and play on a higher level. The team which consists of 3 seniors, 8 juniors, 4 sophomores, and 1 freshman, is looking forward to their future wins. The problem comes down to depth. The pitching rotation is the biggest challenge when it comes to this years team. The team which has come off to a strong start over wins against Oxford and Quaboag and a tough loss to Douglas by 1 run. With injuries, the team is now down to only 12 full time players. But the attitude and dedication still remains strong throughout the dugout. With amazing coaching from Coach Mike and Coach Silvestri the team continues to stay in every game. Be on the lookout for key players such as Jack Remuck, Max Kolifrath, and Edwin Cochrin. The upcoming talent is truly the future of Millbury baseball, along side with the varsity’s success, the Junior-Varsity baseball team is coming off an impressive start going 3-0 and beating oxford 18-0!
